Washington St. \u201cSports\u201d will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening.\u00a0 Members submitting slides are reminded to resize them to 1024 pixels in a jpeg file and rename them as: Sports, Slide title, your name, jpg before Emailing them to President Chris Wilson at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:vwcameraclub@gmail.com\">vwcameraclub@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0by Tuesday, Aug. 12.<\/p>\n<p>A program on Special Effects will be presented by Chris Wilson and Will Hawkins following a brief business session.\u00a0\u00a0Special effects could be defined as creating visual illusions in an image, such as making people or objects appear to levitate, creating ghostlike images and manipulating light and colors. Some effects can be accomplished using in-camera settings, while others require special software manipulation including merging several pictures into one image.
