VW County Fair information<\/i><\/p>\n

Summer isn\u2019t over until after the fair!\u00a0The last Saturday of summer, August 30, come out to the Van Wert County Fair and catch the Triple Play in the Grandstand.\u00a0 For just $5 after paid admission into the fair, fairgoers can enjoy a calf scramble, balloon glow, and Country duo Emerald Blue.<\/p>\n

The Calf, Pig, and Sheep Scramble starts at 7:30 p.m. and requires pre-entry and signed waiver (by a parent) prior to the event.\u00a0 Entry is limited to the first 36 participants per age group.\u00a0The sheep scramble is open to residents ages 7-10, pig scramble ages 11-14, and the calf scramble is for ages 15-18.\u00a0 The entry fee is $3, with prizes for first and second places, and individual heat winners.<\/p>\n

The balloon glow will happen at dusk.\u00a0 Balloon rides are still available to the public throughout the fair at various launches and tethered events; contact the fair office 419.238.9270 to book a balloon ride today!<\/p>\n

Rounding out the Triple Play, Nashville, Tennessee, lends Country duo Emerald Blue to the festivities at 9:45 p.m.\u00a0Chaney DeLong and Bree Stevens are two complementary musical forces who form a dynamic country duo driven by harmony.\u00a0 The band\u2019s name comes from the girls\u2019 birthstones; DeLong\u2019s emerald green and Stevens\u2019 sapphire blue.
