Thelma Mae \u201cTootie\u201d Allen, 84, of Ohio City, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Colonial Nursing Home in Rockford.<\/p>\n
She was born October 24, 1929, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Peter W. and Loretta Louetta (Rayer) Wiseman. On June 19, 1968, she married Morrell Groom \u201cChum\u201d Allen, who preceded her in death on June 17, 2014.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a son, Phil Simindinger of Ohio City; three stepchildren, Nancy J. (Kurt R.) Muntzinger and Rick L. Allen, both of Van Wert, and Randy Allen of Missouri City, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Four brothers, Paul Wiseman, Waldo Wiseman, Robert Wiseman and Lloyd F. \u201cBud\u201d Wiseman; and three sisters, Emma Lou Myers, Marcile Edna McDougal and Helen P. Shinaberry, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m.\u00a0 Thursday, September 4, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Denise Brown officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.<\/b><\/p>\n
