Through t-shirt sales and $1 donation nametags both teams together raised\u00a0 $315. The teams donated all funds raised to a player&#8217;s mom who is currently battling breast cancer, Jennifer Strabbing. Murphy&#8217;s Trash Services of Van Wert generously matched all funds raised by both teams and then some with a $500 donation to Strabbing. &#8220;It is my hope that this donation will help the Strabbing family as they stay strong in Jennifer&#8217;s battle against breast cancer,&#8221; said Joy Short, owner of Murphy&#8217;s Trash Services while presenting a check to the Strabbing family.\u00a0Both teams played a hard-fought game with Van Wert getting the victory 2-0 over the Knights.
