Looking for something to do this weekend?\u00a0\u00a0The Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce\u2019s Home and Business Expo is scheduled for today and Saturday, April 1-2, at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds.\u00a0\u00a0Admission and parking are free, so don\u2019t hesitate to stop by and visit with an array of local businesses, and also grab a bite to eat and enjoy the entertainment.\u00a0\u00a0The Expo will be open today from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be an exciting event,\u201d said Chamber President Kate Gribble. \u201cWe encourage area residents to make it a fun and budget-friendly weekend by attending the Home and Business Expo.\u00a0 We have a lot planned, so there is something for everyone to enjoy!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chamber Home and Business Expo will feature a wide variety of exhibitors and events with both indoor and outdoor displays.\u00a0\u00a0 In addition to touching base with local businesses, guests will have the opportunity to sign up for drawings and grab a bite to eat while they enjoy the festivities (click here<\/a><\/strong> for a site map of the event).<\/p>\n

WERT Radio will be broadcasting live on-site throughout the event and will also be interviewing representatives of the various businesses participating in the Expo.\u00a0There will be clowns and kids events as well as plenty to see for adults of all ages.<\/p>\n

Today at 6 p.m., the Van Wert Police Department will conduct a K-9 demonstration, while Johnny, the Fort Wayne (Ind.) TinCaps mascot, will make an appearance at 6:30 this evening.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., there will be an array of events taking place.\u00a0Lutheran Air Life Flight Helicopter and Mobile ISU demonstration will be available for area residents to see, while the Van Wert County Sheriff\u2019s Department will be offering free Child Safety IDs.\u00a0There will also be balloon art and face painting available for children.<\/p>\n
