It wasn’t looking good for the Knights the first half of the game as they trailed Spencerville but, in the fourth quarter, they were finally able to take the lead. They held it for the rest of the game and came out with a win. It was a close game but the final score was Knights 22 and the Bearcats 21. This brings Crestview’s record to 7-1, which ties them for the conference lead with Spencerville.

Senior Nick Jellison said about his last home game, “It was the most exciting feeling that I’ve ever had, and I was very proud of my teammates that we were able to come out with a big win after everyone said that we were the underdogs.”

There was more excitement Friday night besides the game. It was also senior night for the band, cheer and football members. Each senior walked across the field with their parents and were recognized for all of their time and dedication at Crestview. “It was so bittersweet. While I loved spending one last football game with my fellow seniors, it’s also depressing to know it was the last home game I’ll go to with my friends as a Crestview student,” said senior band member, Bella Chorvas. She along with the other senior band members had a blast performing their senior show out of the field for the last time.

The volleyball girls also had an exciting game Saturday when they played Arcadia in sectional finals. This was an intense game that went to five matches. Sadly the Lady Knights fell to Arcadia, and ended their tournament season. Senior Courtney Trigg said, “I felt like as a whole we played really well. Arcadia was a great team and it was definitely a tough loss. Even though there are things we all could have done differently, I’m proud of the effort we all gave.”

Earlier in the week Knight Vision had the honor to perform at Vantage for the school boards from different parts of the district. The show choir performed songs from their upcoming competition show, along with a song from the fall musical “Shrek”. It was great practice for the group and helped them to get a feel for what it is like performing in front of people they don’t know. This performance was a great honor and got the group ready for their competition season and the musical.

By Monica Winhover This week the Knights football team was determined to take down the Bearcats.
