VWHS Marching Band information<\/i><\/p>\n

This evening, the Van Wert \u201cCougar Pride\u201d Marching Band will present its end-of-the-season concert in the Saltzgaber Music Hall of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. The free concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The concert will feature music from the band\u2019s pregame ceremony, bleacher tunes and halftime shows. Traditional school songs, along with selections from the \u201c2 the Core\u201d halftime series will be performed.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCougar Pride\u201d marching band had a very successful season, performing four different halftime shows that comprised 10 new songs, 55 pages of drill and added seven new bleacher songs to the band\u2019s repertoire.<\/p>\n

This season\u2019s halftime shows include \u201cUnMasqued\u201d (music from the smash Broadway musical Phantom of the Opera<\/em>), \u201cScience Rocks\u201d (current pop tunes with a science theme) featuring the eighth grade band,\u00a0 \u201cInfinite Math\u201d and the season-ending \u201cSenior Night\u201d, which will honor graduating members of the marching band.<\/p>\n
