Private Martens, stationed in Afghanistan and home on<br \/>\nfurlough, is a cousin to James Hagaman.<\/p>\n<p>What could be more fun than graphing marshmallows? Why, eating them,of course!<\/p>\n<p>Recently the second graders were given a bag of colored marshmallows.  The<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5931\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5931\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5931 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/4-6-11-marshmallows.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5931\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marshmallow fun.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>students had to first sort the marshmallows by color  and then record the<br \/>\nnumber of each color they received. They  took the information and preceded to<br \/>\nmade a graph of the number of the different colors. After printing the graph,<br \/>\nthe students were allowed to eat their marshmallows.
