Van Wert swimming information<\/i><\/p>\n

The Van Wert High School boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 swim teams hosted a dual meet with St. Marys Memorial and Ottawa-Glandorf High Schools. This meet was scored as a double dual. The Cougar boys defeated St Marys 67-11, but fell to Ottawa-Glandorf 34-60. The Cougar girls also defeated St. Marys 53-26, and also fell to Ottawa-Glandorf 18-68. Both O-G teams defeated St. Marys.<\/p>\n

Top finishers for Van Wert included Sam Easley (first place overall in the 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke), Hannah Stemen (earning a combined second place\/first place finish in the 50-meter freestyle), Peyton Fleming (earning a combined second place\/first place finish in the 100-meter breaststroke) with the girls 400-meter freestyle relay also earning a combined second place\/first place finish (Katie Trittschuh, Madison Turnwald, Peyton Fleming, Hannah Stemen).<\/p>\n

The Cougar Swim Team will compete against Kenton High School on January 13, 2015 when they travel to the Hardin County YMCA.<\/p>\n
