This year\u2019s theme, entitled \u201cCreate Your Own Story @ Your Library,\u201d seeks to recognize contributions of the nation\u2019s libraries, while also promoting library use and support. Numerous activities have been planned at the Main Library and at each of the five branch sites in honor of the weeklong celebration.<\/p>\n<p>National Library Week began in 1958 as an event sponsored by the American Library Association. Each year a variety of programs and activities are held at libraries across the United States to celebrate the resources, activities and services offered to the public. A schedule of activities includes the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Monday, April 11<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Library<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Head Start Story Time at 10:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Infant &amp; Toddler Story Time at 6:15 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Family Story Night at 6:45 p.m. with guest readers Teresa Schneiter, Kirk Dougal, Rev.
