Van Wert swim team information<\/i><\/p>\n

AYERSVILLE — The Van Wert High School boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 swimming teams traveled to Defiance Ayersville to compete in a dual meet. Both Cougar teams were victorious over the Ayersville Pilots: the girls 106-32 and boys 110-28.<\/p>\n

Van Wert boys and girls earned first-place finishes in every event except two. Swimmers placing first in individual events included Bethany Fast (200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke), Olivia Profit (500-yard freestyle), Peyton Fleming (100-yard breaststroke), Hannah Stemen (50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle), Josh Overholt (200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke), Tyler Rex (50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke), Sam Easley (200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly), Cade Fleming (100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke), Joe Linser (500-yard freestyle) and Nathan Ireland (100-yard freestyle)<\/p>\n

All six Van Wert relays finished in first place:<\/p>\n

The Cougar swimmers return to action next Tuesday when they return to Defiance to compete against the Defiance Bulldogs.<\/p>\n
