(Bob Barnes\/Van Wert independent)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Crestview\u2019s defense then ratcheted the pressure up and offense outscored the Lady Archers 40-13 in the final three quarters as the Knights won easily, 56-26.<\/p>\n<p>But<\/p>\n<p>Crestview was led by Emily Bauer, who poured in 18 points to go along with five rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.\u00a0Lindsey Motycka scored 17 points, adding six rebounds and three steals.<\/p>\n<p>The Knights struggled to find the basket early on in the game, but their defensive efforts were more than adequate to the task, allowing Antwerp just 13 more points in the final three quarters &#8212; the same number the Lady Archers scored in just the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Crestview was 20 of 44 from the field (45 percent), including 4 of 22 from three-point range. The Archers made 11 of 30 from the field (39 percent), but were 2 of 5 from beyond the arc (40 percent).<\/p>\n<p>The Knights were awesome from the free-throw line, making 12 of 13 attempts at the line (92 percent), while Antwerp was 2 of 6 from the free-throw line (33 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Crestview dominated on the boards, bringing down 27 rebounds to 13 for the Archers, and also had nine fewer turnovers, 11-20, than Antwerp.<\/p>\n<p>With the win, the Lady Knights improve to 17-0 on the year.<\/p>\n<p>The Crestview junior varsity team also defeated Antwerp 27-14 to move to 11-4 on the year.<\/p>\n<p>Crestview travels to Spencerville on Thursday for a Northwest Conference contest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DAVE MOSIER\/independent sports CONVOY &#8212; The Antwerp Lady Archers hung with the Crestview girls for a quarter, trailing by just three points, 16-13, at the end of the first period during the teams\u2019 contest Tuesday at Ray Etzler Gymnasium.
