Crawford St. in Van Wert, with doors opening at 2 that afternoon.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_60514\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-60514\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Young-Artists-Concert-2014-Defore.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-60514 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" alt=\"Van Wert High School student James Defore performs during the 2014 Young Artists Recital. (VW independent file photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A total of 19 solos and ensembles have been selected from the three schools based on their outstanding performances at the recently held Ohio Music Educator\u2019s Solo &amp; Ensemble contest.\u00a0 This event, which began in 2004, was initiated by the performing arts department of The Van Wert County Foundation for the purpose of highlighting the most talented high school musicians in Van Wert County.\u00a0 It also gives these students the opportunity to perform their music for the general public and fellow students who often don\u2019t have the opportunity to hear them at the contest event.<\/p>\n<p>Performing in this year\u2019s recital are Lainie Jones, Makenzie Kraft, Madison Jones, Morgan Dougal, Braxton Matthews, Skyler Whitaker, Jacob Gibson, Miah Katalenas, Olivia Snyder, Bethany Martinez, Kayla, Schimmoeller, Alana Williams, Alena Looser, and Chandler Adams from Lincolnview High School; Bella Chorvas from Crestview; and Madison Bowers, Valerie Barnhart, Daniel Wray, Caylee Boroff, Brook Zimmerman, Andrew Perry, Isaac Rager, James Defore, Madalyn Riley, Olivia Mengerink, Chloe Boroff, Kory Schlatter, Alex Green, Julie Steinen, Rachel Kathleen Davis, David F. Slagle, Alain a Alvarez, Jeremy Gunsett, Machenzie Agler, Alicia Danylchuk, LeAndryce Miller, Jakob Schaufelberger, Madaline McKeddie, Noah Brubaker, Lexie Walker from Van Wert High School.<\/p>\n<p>The Young Artist Recital is free and open to the public.
