(Bob Barnes\/Van Wert independent)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><i>Van Wert independent sports<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Lincolnview Lancer boys\u2019 basketball team had a woozy second quarter, but rallied to overcome a feisty Delphos St. John\u2019s squad 58-53 in a non-conference game played Saturday at Lincolnview.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams were knotted at 15-all at the end of the first quarter, but the Blue Jays were on a 14-6 run in the second period to take an eight-point lead, 29-21, at the half.<\/p>\n<p>The Lancers returned the favor in the third quarter, outscoring St. John\u2019s 19-9 to go up by a basket, 40-38, heading into the final eight minutes of play.<\/p>\n<p>Lincolnview was led by Justis Dowdy\u2019s 25 points, while Trevor Neate added 13 points and Chandler Adams scored 9 points for the Lancers.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Jays had three players in double figures, led by Evan Hays\u2019 14 points.
