Visionary Promotions information<\/i><\/p>\n

Beginning on Friday, April 24, Mulligan\u2019s Pub and Visionary Promotions team up to bring Van Wert three big shows in three days.<\/p>\n

The event kicks off with Brandy Zdan from Austin, Texas, on Friday night. She is a one-woman tour de force. Zdan plays guitar, lap steel, Wurlitzer, synths, drums and percussion, and her voice is an understated stunner! Odds are those who have it will be playing her debut record at least two or three times in a row after the first listen.\u00a0\u201cOhio\u2019s Got Talent!\u201d winner Samantha Duquette opens at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, legendary singer-songwriter Alan Rhody will be making his sixth appearance in Van Wert. The Louisville, Kentucky, native has written million-selling records for Lori Morgan and Rickie Van Shelton, as well as the Oak Ridge Boys\u2019 first major hit \u201cI\u2019ll Be True To You\u201d, which to date has sold over 4 million copies. Thom McKee will open for Rhody at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Portland, Maine, native Connor Garvey becomes the 50th show presented by Visionary Promotions since 2007 and he is also one of the most anticipated. Garvey’s songs are like placing folk-funk guitar and ukulele, soulful vocals, and paradoxical metaphors in an electric juicer — you’ve never tasted it before, but it\u2019s intriguing and delectable, so you have to keep drinking. His clever, rhythmic string foundations provide a background for his most prominent instrument, his voice. His songs draw the attention of the entire room with humor, daring honesty, and grace through “a universal message that people can grab hold of.”<\/p>\n

Special thanks go to the Mark White family and to Tim and Karen Dull at Mulligan\u2019s Pub for supporting the arts and providing a place for these talented folks to perform.\u00a0 Food and drinks will be sold at all events.<\/p>\n
