Tickets are available at the Van Wert YMCA for $7 each.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6258\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6258\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6258  \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Brubaker-Robert-II-4-2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"264\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6258\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Robert Brubaker II<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This year\u2019s featured speaker is Robert T. Brubaker II, who will tell of his amazing, inspirational story of how, on the weekend of June 23, 2005, he and his family were on a weeklong bicycle trip sponsored by GOBA (Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure) when he suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed on his left side.\u00a0 After months of hospitals and rehab, Brubaker returned home and attempted to go back to work &#8212; only to discover that the brain damage from his stroke was too extensive and his retention rate was too low to continue working.\u00a0 Every day since his stroke, he has had many mental, physical and emotional struggles. He has had to learn to walk again, but still has a noticeable limp and exhaustion.<\/p>\n<p>Attend the Prayer Breakfast on April 22 and hear more details of the story and how he deals with his struggles and continues to look at life in a positive light.<\/p>\n<p>Information about this and other programs available at the Van Wert YMCA can be found by calling 419.238.0443 or visiting the YM\u2019s website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vwymca.org\">www.vwymca.org<\/a>.
