VW County Fair Board information<\/i><\/p>\n

The Charlie Daniels Band is coming to this year\u2019s Van Wert County Fair!<\/p>\n

The Van Wert County\u00a0Agricultural Society (fair board)\u00a0made the decision to\u00a0partner with a local investment company in order to bring a headliner back to the grandstand.\u00a0In doing so, the fair board was able to\u00a0keep within its budget by\u00a0only assuming a portion of the risk for putting on the concert.\u00a0In return, that same portion of\u00a0concert proceeds will come back to the fair board in hopes of growing the fair in years to come and marking the return of its tradition of holding a main grandstand concert event.<\/p>\n

The Charlie Daniels Band\u00a0has performed in Van Wert before when they visited the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in 2010.\u00a0That event was sold out and did not disappoint, leaving Van Wert residents wanting more of the famed group and making an easy choice for the\u00a02015 Van Wert County Fair.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0concert will\u00a0fall on Tuesday night, September 1, with local country band Nashville Crush the opening act.\u00a0Technically, the night\u00a0has been designated a soft opening for the fair as the official opening\u00a0ceremony is not until September 2.\u00a0 This is good news for concertgoers, as gate admission will not apply; however, fair vendors will be open to offer a pre-feast of\u00a0the great fair food everyone enjoys.<\/p>\n
