Wren Ballpark information<\/i><\/p>\n
WREN — The Wren Ballpark would like to announce Sunday, May 17, as its official Opening Day.<\/p>\n
Ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m. with the raising of the flag and the singing of \u201cThe National Anthem\u201d. A memorial dedication of a buckeye tree will be planted in honor of longtime ballpark supporter and Wren resident Mark “Bugsy” Henry, who passed away a few months ago.<\/p>\n
All players will be recognized with their teams prior to several activities planned for the day. There will be a home run derby for several different age groups, as well as a 50\/50 raffle. The concession stand will be serving up food all day.<\/p>\n
The opening game will pit both Wren farm teams (the Indians and the Tigers)\u00a0against each other, with the first pitch starting at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
