{"id":6324,"date":"2011-04-13T15:49:35","date_gmt":"2011-04-13T20:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=6324"},"modified":"2011-04-13T16:19:50","modified_gmt":"2011-04-13T21:19:50","slug":"lori-ann-hiegel-schaffner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/04\/13\/lori-ann-hiegel-schaffner\/","title":{"rendered":"Lori Ann (Hiegel) Schaffner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lori Ann (Hiegel) Schaffner, 48, of Van Wert, went to join the angels of heaven on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, after a very brief stay at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6326\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6326\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6326 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Schaffner-Lori-obit-photo2-4-2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"323\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6326\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lori A. Schaffner<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Words on paper cannot begin to describe Lori\u2019s love and passion for God, family and friends, but it was best expressed as \u201ca near-perfect wife, daughter, sister and friend to those who were blessed to know her personally and as an insurance agent for Leland Smith Insurance.<\/p>\n<p>Lori was most recently preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Hiegel, and her father-in-law, William Schaffner.<\/p>\n<p>Lori\u2019s surviving family are her spouse, Jeff Schaffner of Van Wert; her mother, Janet Hiegel of Van Wert; a son, Cory A. of Cincinnati; one sister, Amy (Kevin) Wermer of Medina; a brother, Mark (Michele) Hiegel of Van Wert; her mother-in-law, Wanda Schaffner of Toledo; brothers-in-law Jerry (Dorothy) Schaffner of Toledo, Curt (Julie) Schaffner of Van Wert and Kevin (Jen) Schaffner of Shelby Township, Mich.; one sister-in-law, Jenni (Kevin) Harris of Toledo; twin granddaughters; 12 nieces; and five nephews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
