She went out at 5 feet, 4 inches, which would have been a new meet record.\u00a0Hunter Blankemeyer won a highly competitive 110-meter hurdle race in 15.06 seconds, defeating last year\u2019s regional champion In that event, while Bayley Tow won the 800-meter run in a near school record time of 1:57.81; the current school record is 1:57.3.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have some very competitive and accomplished athletes and they did not disappoint tonight,\u201d said Lincolnview Track Coach Matt Langdon.\u00a0\u201cAll three of our 2014 state kids performed well and used the competition to push themselves to that next level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a great meet for us in that regard,\u201d Coach Langdon added.\u00a0\u201cOur top kids needed to be pushed and they needed to be in pressure situations to help them prepare for the upcoming tournament.\u00a0 They handled themselves well and used the competition to push them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other top placers included a third-place finish by Anna Gorman in the 800-meter run in a career best time of 2:27.\u00a0Also in the 800 was Alex Rodriguez, who ran a very competitive race to place third in a career best time of 2:02.\u00a0Trevor Neate placed fourth in the high jump, while Blankemeyer was seventh in the high jump and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.\u00a0 Chandler Adams placed seventh in the discus, while McCleery was seventh in the long jump.<\/p>\n<p>The boys\u2019 4&#215;100-meter relay team (Jewel, Norton, Rager and Blankemeyer) placed third, the boys\u2019 4&#215;800 relay team (Snyder, Fickert, Thompson, Elick) was seventh and the boys\u2019 4&#215;400 relay team (Rodriguez, Rager, Cowling, Tow) finished in eighth place.<\/p>\n<p>The girls\u2019 4&#215;100-meter relay team (Klausing, Schimmoeller, Campbell and Proctor) was seventh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lincolnview track and field information NEW BREMEN &#8212; The Lincolnview Lancer varsity track teams competed in the Cardinal Invitational in New Bremen on Friday night.
