The community is reminded that the Van Wert Area Photography Club is offering — at no charge — a special presentation by Jan Sorensen on photography fundamentals.\u00a0 This event takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at 114 S. Race St.\u00a0 Jan purchased a DVD on her recent trip to Alaska, which includes a tutorial segment liberally sprinkled with pictures of Alaska that illustrate the point being explained. That part of the DVD will be a major part of her presentation.<\/p>\n

VWAPC officers took their newly approved By-Laws to Attorney Todd Wolfrum to see if there was any conflicts with state or federal laws.\u00a0 Wolfrum reported that actually there was\u00a0a weakness.\u00a0 The document did not provide for a Board of Directors to oversee the club’s activities.\u00a0 He provided the club with the necessary verbiage which the officers used a guide to add\u00a0that section to the By-Laws.\u00a0Thursday evening members will be asked to approve the new addition, which should make a trip to the printers the next step.<\/p>\n

Rex Dolby, Randy Shellenbarger, and Mike Taylor have photos on display in the basement of the Van Wert Civic Theatre\u00a0through the last performance of Clue.\u00a0<\/i>The pictures cover a wide range of subjects and anyone interested in purchasing a photo should contact the photographer directly.<\/p>\n
