(photo submitted)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Walls-earns-Ford-FFA-scholarship-5-2015.jpg\" width=\"330\" height=\"227\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-63895\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>StateWide General Manager Steve Munroe (second from right), hands a check to Ford scholarship winner Kayla Walls, while some of the Statewide Ford Lincoln team look on.<\/strong> <em>(photo submitted)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Built Ford Tough FFA Scholarship Program is designed to recognize FFA member\u2019s talents and accomplishments while encouraging their future academic achievements.\u00a0 The scholarship is one of 530 scholarships awarded by Ford division, Ford Motor Company Fund and Ford Dealers to FFA members who are high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2015, or current collegiate students.\u00a0 This program is a part of Ford\u2019s overall commitment to the National FFA Organization.<\/p>\n<p>Ford has supported the National FFA Foundation since the first F-Series truck was introduced in 1948, and has sponsored the Built Ford Tough collegiate scholarship program since 1997.\u00a0 To date, the program has awarded $8,145,000 in scholarships to 8184 FFA members throughout the country.\u00a0 Ford knows the value of hard work and believes that hard work should be rewarded.<\/p>\n<p>StateWide has been involved in the Scholarship program for nine years and has awarded fifteen scholarships locally to students from Van Wert, Parkway, Crestview, Delphos Jefferson, Delphos St Johns, Lincolnview and Wayne Trace High Schools.
