Van Wert Elks information<\/i><\/p>\n

Van Wert Lodge 1197, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, announces the winners of the 2014-2015 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Americanism Essay Contest. This fraternal year, the theme for the contest was \u201cWhat does the \u2018Pledge of Allegiance\u2019 Mean to Me?\u201d The students competed in divisions, by age group.<\/p>\n

Local winners, which were forwarded to the district for further judging, were:<\/p>\n

Division I (grades 5-6) \u2013 Raven Kreischer, Crestview Elementary, first place; Emma Pollock, St. Mary\u2019s School, second place; Lauren McHugh, St. Mary\u2019s, third place.<\/p>\n

Division II (grades 7-8) \u2013 Hannah Kraner, Van Wert Middle School, first place; Olivia Skelton, Crestview Middle School, second place; Krista Markley, Wayne Trace Middle School, third place.<\/p>\n

Kreischer placed first in the Northwest District and Tiffany Thompson placed third in the Northwest District competition.<\/p>\n

Van Wert Elks Lodge 1197 would like to congratulate all of its winners and thank all of the students, teachers and schools for their participation in this year\u2019s essay contest.<\/p>\n
