The annual event is sponsored by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.\u00a0\u00a0 Assisting this year with the display of flags during the \u201cHistory of the Flag\u201d presentation was Van Wert Composite Squadron 296 of the Civil Air Patrol. The Elks is the first and only fraternal organization to mandate that every year, each Elks Lodge must conduct a solemn and beautiful Flag Day ceremony.
