She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution for more than 40 years, was a former volunteer at the Ohio Village, and actively involved with the Discovery Shop, as well as the American Cancer Society.<\/p>\n<p>Her purpose was to show that one can live with cancer and have an active and enjoyable life after such a diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann (Jeffrey) Ball; grandsons Edward and Matthew; brothers Norman Eugene (Valera) and Gary Allen (Judith); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.<\/p>\n<p>She was not a cookie-making grandma, but the one who always had pop in the refrigerator and an occasional 20-dollar bill.<\/p>\n<p><b>Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N.
