In the past three years, Verizon has added nearly 70 sites &#8212; all equipped with 4G LTE.\u00a0 To date, the company has added <a href=\"http:\/\/www.verizonwireless.com\/xlte\">XLTE<\/a> technology to nearly 70 percent of the sites in this region, providing faster peak speeds and greater capacity.<br \/>\nApproximately 80 percent of the populations are covered by Verizon Wireless XLTE network, including Van Wert County.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Verizon-logo-5-2015.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-63789\" alt=\"Verizon logo 5-2015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Verizon-logo-5-2015.jpg\" width=\"162\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>\u201c4G LTE and XLTE are changing the way customers interact with the world via next-generation apps, devices and solutions &#8212; things we couldn\u2019t have imagined a few years ago,\u201d said Mark Frazier, president of the Ohio\/Pennsylvania\/West Virginia Region for Verizon Wireless. \u201cBy continuing to invest in wireless broadband in northern Ohio, we\u2019re investing in local communities and economies where our customers live, work and play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Verizon Wireless has the nation\u2019s largest 4G LTE network. Launched in December 2010, Verizon\u2019s 4G LTE network is available in more than 500 markets to more than 98 percent of the population and covers more than 303 million people in the U.S., including those in areas served by the company\u2019s LTE in Rural America partners.<\/p>\n<p>XLTE, launched in 2014, is now available to more than 98 percent of the U.S. population and is helping double the bandwidth of the company\u2019s 4G LTE network, delivering faster peak data speeds to XLTE-ready devices.
