Taylor, 86, of Van Wert, died at 9:37 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.<\/p>\n<p>She was born August 15, 1924, in Jackson County, the daughter of the late James Harvey and Eithel (Chaney) Carter. She married Ray Taylor, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include two children, Steven M. Williamson and Deborah (Rick) Metzger, both of Van Wert; three stepchildren, Linda (Wayne) Dawson of Convoy, Lois (Buddy) Henderson of Lafayette, Ind., and Donald R. (Deb) Taylor of Van Wert; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.<\/p>\n<p>Three brothers, Willard, Arthur, and Floyd Carter; and a sister, Beatrice Dunn, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Tim Burden officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center, c\/o Community Health Professionals in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p>Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alspachgearhart.com\">www.alspachgearhart.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daisy M.
