This compares with the national average that has not moved\u00a0in the last week to $2.76 a gallon, according to gasoline price website <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Including the change in gas prices in Ohio during the past week, prices Sunday were 75.7 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 12.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 3.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 85.0 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-28382\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" title=\"MGN Online graphic\" alt=\"Gasoline price graphic 8-2012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>&#8220;With the exception of the West Coast, last week saw gas prices moving lower in many regions,&#8221; said Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst. &#8220;And last week the story at the pump has been completely about the West Coast. Pump prices have surged as a result of a hopefully temporary stoppage of gasoline imports into the West Coast, which the region has relied upon thanks to earlier year refinery issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAreas of California have set new records for highest single day price increase, and prices will continue to advance for a few more days before things cool off,\u201d DeHaan added. \u201cFor the rest of the county, gas prices will resume their decline for the time being, even as gasoline demand remains historically very strong.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>Biggest Weekly State Declines:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indiana, -13.1 cents per gallon<\/li>\n<li>Michigan, -11.4 cents per gallon<\/li>\n<li>Alaska, -2.7 cents per gallon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Biggest Weekly State Increases:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>California, +28.0 cents per gallon<\/li>\n<li>Nevada, +5.2 cents per gallon<\/li>\n<li>Ohio, +5.2 cents per gallon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gasoline price information Average retail gasoline prices in Ohio have risen 1.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.72 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy&#8217;s daily survey of 5,345 gas outlets in Ohio.
