Believe it or not, the deadline for submitting\u00a0your fair photo exhibit entry form is noon on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Fair Board’s office.\u00a0 Before that can be completed, however, you need to make some decisions about your entries.\u00a0 First obtain a fair book and entry form\u00a0from the fair board office or go on line, search Van Wert County Fair, and click on it to go to the fair’s website.<\/p>\n

Once on the site, scroll down and click on the Open Class and Jr. Fair picture.\u00a0 Scroll down and click on department_q-1600_photography.pdf \u00a0to read the rules for entering pictures in the fair’s photography exhibit. You will see that Division 1601 is the Senior Division for Color, and 1602 is Black\/White for seniors.\u00a0 Division 1603 is Color for Juniors under the age of 18 before August 1, and Division 1604 is for the Junior B\/W photos.<\/p>\n

Each Division has 5 Classes having the same themes for color and b\/w.\u00a0 Those classes are: 01, At the Fair; 02, Transportation; 03, People; 04, On the Farm; and 05 is a Land, Sea, or City Scape.<\/p>\n

New this year is rule 5’s statement that you may enter two pictures in every class.\u00a0\u00a0 This\u00a0means you can enter as many as 10 pictures in each division for a total of 20 pictures for the exhibit.<\/p>\n

Now you are ready to fill out your entry form.\u00a0 Going back to the home page of the fair’s website, click on Fair Events in the top strip. This opens a menu. Click on Pricing.\u00a0 This will open a picture of the fair book. Scroll down and click on the circle having 159th Program Book 2015.\u00a0 An enlarged view will appear.<\/p>\n

Scroll down watching either\u00a0the numbers on the\u00a0right to (49\u00a0bold) or the numbers\u00a0to\u00a0(55 of 84). Right click on the page to select print.<\/p>\n

That’s a lot to get done by Sunday, Aug. 30, from 1-5 p.m. when the Van Wert Area Photography Club will be\u00a0receiving the pictures for the Fair Board’s Photography Exhibit.\u00a0 The club’s next scheduled meeting will be on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m .at 114 S.
