MIDDLE POINT \u2014 The sixth annual Middle Point Ballpark Festival has been scheduled for Friday-Sunday, July 31-August 2. This year\u2019s events will feature a sand volleyball tournament, 8U, 10U and 12U boys\u2019 baseball tournaments, and a 5k-run\/walk. Information on the individual events is as follows:<\/p>\n
Coed Sand Volleyball Tournament — Sand volleyball courts, co-ed 6’s power, fee is $60 per team. To register, contact Kylie Snyder at 419.953.1373. The tournament will take place on Saturday.<\/p>\n
8U, 10U and 12U Year Boys Baseball Tournament — $175 entry fee for 8U and $200 for 10U\u00a0and 12U\u00a0and three balls. First eight teams in each division will be accepted. Each team guaranteed three games; format is pool play, with the top two teams advancing to a single-elimination tournament; age cut-off is March 1. There will be two pools in each division. Contact Kevin Price at 419.605.8708 for details. Once all teams are in, rules will be given for each division. Prizes to be awarded for first place (medals and team plaque) and second place (medals and team plaque). The tourney will begin Friday night and run all day Saturday and into Sunday.<\/p>\n
5K run\/walk — $15 preregistration and t-shirt, $10 for no t-shirt and\/or $15\/race day registration entry without shirt for 5K;\u00a0contact Alison\u00a0Hammons\u00a0at 419.203.4553. This will be run Saturday morning. The run\/walk will be at 9 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n
