Van Wert independent\/MSVW information<\/i><\/p>\n

After the success of last year\u2019s event, Main Street Van Wert Program Director Adam Ries has scheduled a second edition of the popular Hidden Spaces downtown upper level building tour. The tour will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 14.<\/p>\n

\"Main<\/a>\u201cThis is a self-guided tour through the different floors of five downtown buildings, to see the unfinished, the untouched and maybe surprising spaces hiding just steps from the sidewalks,\u201d Ries said, while warning that the tour does include lots of steps and areas that are not air-conditioned.<\/p>\n

Although Ries noted that the location of the five tour areas is kept secret until the evening of the event, he did promise that tour-goers would see \u201cbeautiful architecture, a little history, hardwood floors, wavy glass and photo-esque views of downtown Van Wert.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tour will begin at the Van Wert Main Street office, 136 E. Main St., where tour-goers will exchange their tickets for a map showing the five tour locations.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $10 each, same as last year, and can be purchased at the VWMS office or by calling 419.238.6911. Ries said tickets are currently being sold to MSVW supporting partners, with the general public getting a chance starting this Friday, August 7. Ries advised that those wanting to take the tour should buy tickets early, since last year\u2019s tour sold out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
