PAULDING — A Paulding County man was killed in a farm accident that occurred Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n
Richard L. Ross, 75, was killed when he apparently fell from his open-cab tractor and was struck by an attachment he was pulling.<\/p>\n
“My thoughts are with the Ross family at this time,” said Sheriff Jason K. Landers. “It is believed Mr. Ross might have experienced a health issue that caused his fall, as there is no evidence of rough terrain or wrongdoing on his part.”<\/p>\n
Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn declared Ross dead at the scene, while Paulding EMS and Fire Department personnel were also at the scene.<\/p>\n
The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a man was lying in a field west of the intersection of Paulding County Road 137 and Road 118. Ross was found by emergency personnel at that time.<\/p>\n
