Van Wert Rib Fest information<\/i><\/p>\n

The results of the judging at this year\u2019s Van Wert Rib Fest have been announced.<\/p>\n

The People\u2019s Choice Awards, ballots cast by customers who sampled a variety of ribs, were presented to Professor\u2019s BBQ of Wapakoneta (third place); After Hours BBQ of Orrville (second place); and Gibson\u2019s Barnyard BBQ of Convoy (first place)<\/p>\n

The Rib Fest panel of celebrity judges also awarded trophies for best sauce and best ribs. Third place sauce award went to Professor\u2019s BBQ, second place sauce trophy was presented to Timmy\u2019s BBQ of Garrett, Indiana, and first place sauce award was given to Smoke Shack BBQ of Pickerington.<\/p>\n

The third place best ribs trophy went to Gibson\u2019s Barnyard BBQ, the second place award was presented to Pigtails BBQ of West Salem, and the first place best ribs award was given to Smoke Shack BBQ.<\/p>\n

The Rib Fest Committee would like to congratulate all the winners and also want to thank everyone who attended and hope everyone had a great time. Thanks, also, to all of the Rib Fest sponsors.<\/p>\n

Even as this year\u2019s Rib Fest is being reviewed and evaluated, discussions have already started as planning for the 10th annual Rib Fest begins. Next year\u2019s Rib Fest will be held August 5-6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
