{"id":66966,"date":"2015-08-15T16:09:33","date_gmt":"2015-08-15T21:09:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=66966"},"modified":"2015-08-15T16:10:41","modified_gmt":"2015-08-15T21:10:41","slug":"payne-mans-death-under-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2015\/08\/15\/payne-mans-death-under-investigation\/","title":{"rendered":"Payne man&#8217;s death under investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Van Wert independent<\/em><\/p>\n<p>PAYNE &#8212; Paulding County officials are investigating the death of a Payne man who was found dead in his kitchen Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The Payne Police Department and Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn are assisting the Paulding County Sheriff&#8217;s Office in investigating the death of Cary Parsons, 50, of 202 Townline St. in Payne.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive male at 10:25 a.m. Saturday and found Parsons dead in his kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our initial assessment of this death have developed some concerns,&#8221; Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers said, adding: &#8220;The Ohio Attorney General&#8217;s Bureau of Criminal Investigation&#8217;s Crime Scene Investigative Unit has been called in to assist us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Payne and Antwerp EMS units also assisted investigators at the scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van Wert independent PAYNE &#8212; Paulding County officials are investigating the death of a Payne man who was found dead in his kitchen Saturday morning.
