Van Wert County Hospital and the Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio (OIO) have teamed together to offer the Bump Clinic, a sports medicine walk-in clinic open every Saturday from 8-10 a.m., beginning August 29.<\/p>\n

\"VWCH<\/a>The Bump Clinic is available to athletes of all ages.\u00a0A parent or guardian must accompany athletes under 18 years old.\u00a0 The Bump Clinic will offer sports physical therapy, orthopedic surgery, x-rays and MRI services — all on-site at Van Wert County Hospital, with no appointment needed.\u00a0Athletes are asked to use the main entrance of Van Wert County Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to offer a convenient service to athletes of all ages in our community — from young kids playing soccer for the first time, to high school football players, to adult athletes,\u201d said Sheila Brokenshire, vice president of nursing services at Van Wert County Hospital.\u00a0\u201cIf an athlete gets hurt in a game on Friday night, we wanted a place for that athlete to be seen right away on Saturday morning.\u00a0 Van Wert is such an active community and we are thrilled to help athletes get back on the field faster with the Bump Clinic.\u201d<\/p>\n
