Local photographers planning to enter pictures in the 2015 Fair Photography Exhibit should be aware that fair board staff says they only have\u00a0Friday, Aug. 28, from 1- 4 pm, Saturday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m.-noon, or Sunday, Aug. 30, from 1-4 p.m.to get their entry tags from the Fair Board Office.<\/p>\n
Each picture entered must have an entry tag tied to the wire on the back.\u00a0 It will be\u00a0recorded and exhibited in the category stated on the tag, so be sure that the correct tag is tied on each picture.<\/p>\n
Only frames with an opening\u00a0no larger than\u00a018 united inches (1 length plus 1 width) will be accepted.\u00a0 They must have screw eyes in the back with wire attached for hanging.\u00a0 This helps to insure that when the picture is hung, it\u00a0is\u00a0likely to\u00a0stay in place\u00a0during the entire exhibit. Frames must be covered by glass or Plexiglas to protect them from damage that might result from\u00a0accidents, for example things like coughs or sneezes.<\/p>\n
Additional rules for entry should be checked out in the Department Q section of the Fair Book.\u00a0 Van Wert Area Photography Club members will be on hand Sunday, Aug. 30, from 1-5 p.m. to check in the pictures.\u00a0 The photos will be judged on Monday, Aug. 31, and on exhibit Tuesday through Monday, Sept. 7.<\/p>\n
