In August 1979, he married Josephine A. (Sander) Buettner, who died July 16, 2007.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/American-Flag-for-obituaries-6-2011.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8711\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" alt=\"American Flag for obituaries 6-2011\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/American-Flag-for-obituaries-6-2011.jpg\" width=\"125\" height=\"66\" \/><\/a>Survivors include a son, Scott (Sheila) Buettner of Wapakoneta; one stepson, Kenwood Bartz of Lima; a brother, Jim (JoAnn) Buettner of Delphos; one sister, Mary (Charles) Wauben of Delphos; and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p><b>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military honors rendered by the Delphos Veterans Council.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: St. John\u2019s Parish Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Online condolences may be expressed at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harterandschier.com\">www.harterandschier.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kenneth Buettner, 76, of Delphos, died Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
