This will be implemented for concealed carry licenses and electronic (BCI and\/or FBI) background checks done at its office.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_53457\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-53457\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Paulding-Sheriff-Jason-Landers-7-2014.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-53457 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" alt=\"Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As part of its service, Lexis Nexis does charge a processing fee for each transaction to the customer.<\/p>\n<p>Upon approval, checks can be used as payment; however, cash will no longer be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis change was suggested by the County Risk Sharing Authority, which insures Paulding County,\u201d said Sheriff Jason K. Landers. \u201cA lot of times folks don\u2019t have cash with the correct amount of change, and we don\u2019t keep cash in this office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have found the majority of people do possess a credit\/debit card and have requested to use it,\u201d Landers added. \u201cThis should be a positive change for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Credit cards accepted include American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals coming to the sheriff\u2019s office for electronic fingerprints must bring a valid reason for the specific check, as well as an address where the results are to be sent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo many times potential employers send candidates to this office simply telling them to get fingerprints,\u201d said Sheriff Landers. \u201cThere are different types of fingerprints and certain information you should bring with you to have an electronic check done.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe spend a lot of time explaining to people what they need to have when employers should be doing this,\u201d the sheriff noted. \u201cI highly recommend employers, as well as citizens needing printed, visit our website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pauldingohsheriff.com\">www.pauldingohsheriff.com<\/a>, click on the \u201cgeneral\u201d tab, then click on \u201cWebCheck\u201d or \u201cConcealed Carry Licenses\u201d to learn more.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paulding County Sheriff\u2019s information PAULDING &#8212; Paulding County Sheriff\u2019s Office has contracted with Lexis Nexis VitalChek Network Inc. to begin accepting credit and debit cards.
