{"id":70317,"date":"2015-11-26T07:43:13","date_gmt":"2015-11-26T12:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=70317"},"modified":"2015-11-26T07:43:13","modified_gmt":"2015-11-26T12:43:13","slug":"neumeier-new-county-recycling-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2015\/11\/26\/neumeier-new-county-recycling-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Neumeier new county recycling director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>VW independent\/submitted information<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert County Board of Commissioners announced Wednesday the hiring of Jerry Neumeier to fill the position of Solid Waste Management District director.<\/p>\n<p>The hiring was made after two rounds of interviews of possible candidates and in cooperation with representatives of the local board for the Solid Waste Management District.<\/p>\n<p>Neumeier, a Delphos resident and St. John\u2019s High School alumnus, comes to the county recycling facility with several years of management and recycling experience under his belt, most recently serving as an operations manager for a local recycling business.<\/p>\n<p>Neumeier is also a former mayor of Delphos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased to have found someone of Jerry\u2019s quality and integrity to fill this position,\u201d Commissioner Todd Wolfrum noted. \u201cGeorge Brake is irreplaceable in what he was able to do for our community, but we\u2019re hoping Jerry can maintain what George created and use his expertise to build further our county\u2019s recycling capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neumeier began his employment as director on November 23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information The Van Wert County Board of Commissioners announced Wednesday the hiring of Jerry Neumeier to fill the position of Solid Waste Management District director.
