Van Wert swim team information<\/i><\/p>\n

The Van Wert High School boys and girls swimming teams hosted Marion Local and Fort Recovery in a double dual meet at the Van Wert YMCA. The Cougar boys dominated the pool defeated both visiting teams.\u00a0 The boys defeated Marion Local 63-33 and Fort Recovery 67-8.\u00a0 The Cougar girls defeated Marion Local 81-17, but lost a heartbreaker to Fort Recovery 48-50.<\/p>\n

All Cougar relays earned a first place finish: they include the boys\u2019 200-meter medley (Dalton Heppeard, Cade Fleming, Sam Easley, Cory Pinson) and girls 200-meter medley (Emma Verville, Peyton Fleming, Bethany Fast, and Madison Turnwald); boys\u2019 200-meter freestyle (Easley, Joe Linser, Pinson, Fleming) and girls 200-meter freestyle (Chloe Brake, Noelle Heffner, Landrie Koontz, and Katie Trittschuh); boys\u2019 400-meter freestyle (Heppeard, Linser, Stephen Hamblett, Brayden Cox) and girls\u2019 400-meter freestyle (Trittschuh, Fast, Fleming, and Turnwald).<\/p>\n

The Cougars will travel January 5 to the Williams County YMCA to compete in a dual meet against Bryan.<\/p>\n
