Wauseon took first place for the boys and Anthony Wayne reigned as the girls\u2019 champion, with Ottawa-Glandorf taking the runner-up spot for the boys and girls events.<\/p>\n<p>Other schools participating (in order of finish in the girl\u2019s standings) included Celina, Coldwater, Bowling Green, Fort Recovery, Pemberville Eastwood, Defiance, Ayersville, Archbold, Leipsic, and Tinora.<\/p>\n<p>During the sectional tournament, the Cougar swimmers earned 24 \u201cpersonal best\u201d records; those advancing to the OHSAA Division II district tournament at Bowling Green State University on February 19 include Sam Easley in 1-meter diving and the 100-yard backstroke; Cade Fleming in the 100-yeard breaststroke; Bethany Fast in the 100-yard breaststroke; Maddison Jarrett in 1-meter diving; and the boys\u2019 400-yard freestyle relay team.<\/p>\n<p>All three boys\u2019 relay teams scored. The best finishes were third place by the 200-yard medley (Easley, Fleming, Dalton Heppeard, Cory Pinson), and seventh by the 400-yard freestyle relay (Easley, Pinson, Joe Linser, Fleming) teams. The 200-yard freestyle relay (Noah Arend, Pinson, Linser, Stephen Hamblett), earned fourth place.<\/p>\n<p>All three girls\u2019 relay teams scored. The best finish was recorded by the 200-yard freestyle with Chloe Brake, Fast, Emma Verville, and Peyton Fleming taking sixth place. The 200-yard freestyle relay, with Madison Turnwald, Fleming, Katie Trittschuh, and Chloe Brake also claimed sixth place.
