{"id":7389,"date":"2011-05-04T13:30:53","date_gmt":"2011-05-04T18:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=7389"},"modified":"2011-05-04T13:32:06","modified_gmt":"2011-05-04T18:32:06","slug":"prom-a-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/05\/04\/prom-a-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Prom a success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Calib Cunningham<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7390\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7390\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7390 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/5-4-11-kitn.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7390\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"> Prom week included a visit from the VW Safety Bug for students to simulate the dangers of driving under the influence.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This year\u2019s prom theme for the Knights was Neon Knight Club.\u00a0 With everything glowing and people dancing, the night was a blast.\u00a0 The juniors worked hard the weeks prior to the big event and none of it went unnoticed.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the decorations of the prom senior Kelsie Poling said, \u201cThey were very nice and went along with the theme very well.\u201d\u00a0 The dance was just as crazy as always.\u00a0 The DJ, Mr. Kreischer, was the man who provided the music for the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Nick Cunningham said, \u201cThe atmosphere was great; the music was great the whole thing was just a success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Promenade ran from 7-8 p.m at Crestview\u2019s High School Gym.\u00a0 Prom itself went from 8-11 p.m at the Convoy Community Building.\u00a0 After Prom was also held at the school and was sponsored by the Van Wert Optimist Club.\u00a0 With all of that, the night turned out to be a good one for Crestview and the efforts of all in preparation of the night was appreciated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Calib Cunningham This year\u2019s prom theme for the Knights was Neon Knight Club.\u00a0 With everything glowing and people dancing, the night was a blast.\u00a0 The juniors worked hard the weeks prior to the big event and none of it went unnoticed.
