George Brake explained how compost is made as well as how recyclables are sorted and sold. The Solid Waste Management Facility<br \/>\ndoes a great job of saving our resources and giving back to our community with free mulch, wood, and books.<\/p>\n<p>At the Water treatment Plant, Don Lippi explained how water taken from<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7402\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7402\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7402 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/5-4-11RRkidsonrail.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7402\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Water management is important to the community.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Town Creek is filtered and treated before being used and consumed by residents of Van Wert. At the Waste Water Treatment Plant Brandon Fetzer explained to the students how waste water is cleaned and treated before going back into Town Creek.
