Called &#8220;Fiesta Fun Friday&#8221;, the event will be held at Willow Bend Country Club Friday, May 6, starting at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Premier sponsors for the event are Citizens National Bank, National Door &amp; Trim, Central Insurance Company, and First Federal Savings &amp; Loan (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/2016-Fiesta-Friday-flyer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a> for a flyer on the event).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-43104\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/United-Way-logo-9-2013.jpg\" alt=\"United Way logo 9-2013\" width=\"200\" height=\"90\" \/>The event will be a reverse hat raffle, with the winner walking away with a $1,000 cash prize. The ticket price for the evening is $35 per ticket or $60 per couple, and includes a variety of Mexican appetizers, one drink ticket, and one ticket for the grand prize drawing for $1,000.<\/p>\n<p>For those interested in sponsoring a corporate table, the cost is $325 per table and includes a pitcher of margaritas, eight tickets for the event and advertising for one\u2019s business or organization that evening. The first raffle will be drawn at 6:30 p.m. and drawings will continue until the last ticket remains.<\/p>\n<p>Other activities will include live auctions for additional hat raffle tickets and plenty of side games for additional cash prizes and ticket entries for the raffle. The United Way will also be auctioning off specialty hats with a men\u2019s package, a women\u2019s package, a Date Night hat and a Lucky Lottery hat all providing additional chances to win the $1,000 grand prize.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Schlagbaum will be the emcee for the night\u2019s event, while casual attire for the evening. Tickets can be purchased at the United Way office, 1151 Westwood Drive in Van Wert, by contacting the United Way at 419.238.6689, emailing <a href=\"mailto:unitedway109@embarqmail.com\">unitedway109@embarqmail.com<\/a>, or through any United Way board member.
