(Photo by Mike Taylor.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Van Wert Area Photography Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at 114 S. Race St.\u00a0 Members who made the Wright-Patterson AFB photography trip are invited to bring some of their pictures for the group to see.\u00a0 Others who have pictures they&#8217;d like to share, such as\u00a0eagles or snow, are encouraged to bring those also.<\/p>\n<p>In the business portion Secretary Rex Dolby, will explain why\u00a0the club\u00a0needs a proposed amendment to its purpose statement, to satisfy an issue raised by the IRS on the club&#8217;s 501(c)(3) application.<\/p>\n<p>Members should note that on Saturday, March 12, we will be\u00a0making a photo excursion\u00a0to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum located at 1600 S. Wayne St. in Auburn, Ind.\u00a0\u00a0 We will\u00a0meet at McDonalds north in Van Wert at 9:30 a.m., and leave together from there.\u00a0 We would love to have as many photo enthusiasts along as possible, not only for the good conversation on the way up and back, but also because if we have 10 or more in our group the admission price drops from $12.50 per person to $10.50.<\/p>\n<p>The museum building itself\u00a0served as the International Headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company from 1930-1936. The site is designated a National Historic Landmark by virtue of\u00a0its being the place\u00a0\u00a0where designers sketched the innovative Auburns and Cords that set the stage for the modern automobile.<\/p>\n<p>The museum is more than a building filled with over 120 significant automobiles\u00a0dating from the 1890s to the 21st Century\u00a0and related artifacts. It also contains a wealth of historic information pertaining to the\u00a0Auburn Automobile Company, Duesenberg, Inc., and the Cord Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u00a0always learn something worth knowing when you hang out with other photographers,\u00a0and it&#8217;ll be a fun trip.\u00a0 Why not\u00a0join us?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Rex Dolby with Stuart Jewett The Van Wert Area Photography Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at 114 S.
