Geraniums are hardy root plants sold in 4\u00bd-inch pots. Colors available are: red, white, lavender, fuchsia, pink, and light salmon. Pots are $3.50 each.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss this opportunity to beautify one\u2019s yard and support the YWCA this Mother\u2019s Day. Geraniums will be available for pick-up Wednesday, May 4, from 1-6 p.m., and Thursday, May 5, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4396\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4396\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4396 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/Geranium-photo-3-2011.jpg\" alt=\"Geranium photo 3-2011\" width=\"200\" height=\"197\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4396\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>The YWCA of Van Wert County is selling geraniums as a fundraiser for its programs.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cash and carry sales begin Wednesday, May 4, at 1 p.m., while hanging baskets will also be available for purchase for $20 that day while supplies last. New this year is a multi-vendor event on Wednesday, May 4, from 1-6 p.m., and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, May 5, where area residents can shop for other gifts, in addition to geraniums. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the YWCA programming.<\/p>\n<p>The annual Geranium Sale supports the work of the YWCA throughout the year, including the Transitional Living and Youth Enrichment programs, and its domestic violence services.<\/p>\n<p>Stop into the YWCA and place an order today. The YWCA can also take credit card orders over the phone at 419.238.6639.<\/p>\n<p>General operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Friday, 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. (closed Saturday and Sunday).<\/p>\n<p>The YWCA is a United Way and Van Wert County Foundation funded agency.
