During National Library Week, April 11-16, the changing role of libraries, librarians, and library workers will be highlighted.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_37601\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-37601\" style=\"width: 330px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Brumback-Library-book-sale-4-20-13.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-37601\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-37601\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Brumback-Library-book-sale-4-20-13.jpg\" alt=\"Brumback Library book sale 4-20-13\" width=\"330\" height=\"220\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-37601\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Brumback Library will hold its Spring Book Sale as part of its National Library Week celebration.<\/strong> <em>(VW independent file photo)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Libraries of all types are evolving to meet the needs of the communities they serve. Today, libraries are creative and engaging life-long centers of learning where patrons can discover new technologies, participate in a special program, or simply read and relax with a newspaper, a magazine, or a good book.<\/p>\n<p>In keeping with the American Library Association\u2019s theme, libraries, literally and figuratively, transform lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cService to the community has always been the focus of our library,\u201d said Brumback Library Director John Carr. \u201cWe serve over 28,000 registered Van Wert County residents of all ages, as well as students and the public at large, as they pursue a myriad of research, informational, and recreational needs.
