Lincolnview Local Board of Education mostly dealt with end-of-year personnel matters, including the resignation of several employees and awarding of employment and supplemental contracts, during its May meeting Monday evening.<\/p>\n

District Treasurer Troy Bowersock began the meeting with his report, noting that revenues for the current school year \u201care pretty much on track.\u201d Bowersock said revenues were a little lower than projected, but well within the 5 percent range.<\/p>\n

Superintendent Jeff Snyder also noted that testing was completed and said he was hopeful state report card results would be forthcoming sooner this year, since last year\u2019s results came too late to allow staff to make changes for this year\u2019s testing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just excited now that we might actually get results in June, and maybe have some input and some changes for next year, versus this year,\u201d Snyder said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t get (results from last year) until February and it was only two months until they had testing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Snyder also thanked Van Wert Rotary Club and Iberdrola Renewables for providing tickets that allowed several students and staff to attend the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadercast event at the YMCA’s Camp Clay Center, noting it was a great experience.<\/p>\n

Both Elementary Principal Nita McKinney and High School\/Junior High School Principal Brad Mendenhall talked about testing, as well as a number of activities that occurred since the April board meeting. Those activities included prom, school programs and concerts, and the upcoming high school graduation ceremonies.<\/p>\n

The board also recognized the high school choir for getting a Superior rating at state band and choir contest and the Junior Class and advisors for a successful prom, while also approving a resolution to seek bids for one 72-passenger school bus and one 84-passenger bus.<\/p>\n

In personnel action, the board accepted the resignation of fourth-grade teacher Kristen Harden after three years with the district, while also accepting the resignation of cook Shawn Fickert, who served five years in the district, and bus driver Denise Cramer. Part-time cook Teresa Dunlap also resigned that position, but was then employed as a full-time cook to replace Fickert.<\/p>\n

The board also approved employment contacts for the 2016-17 school year, as follows:<\/p>\n

Two-year limited \u2013 Hilary Arn, Greg Byrum, Suzanne Ketner, Lindsey Litzenberg, Valerie Parsell, and Kyle Stechschulte.<\/p>\n

Three-year limited \u2013 Matt Alessandrini, Melissa Stork, and Elizabeth Utz.<\/p>\n

Continuing \u2013 Kristy Ringwald.<\/p>\n

The following non-teaching contracts were also approved:<\/p>\n

One-year limited \u2013 Denise Cramer, teacher\u2019s aide; Tom Lee, custodian.<\/p>\n

Continuing \u2013 Amy Dunlap, bus driver.<\/p>\n

Also Monday, the board approving the following contract non-renewals (standard from school year to school year): Erica Berryman, Junior Class advisor; Benji Byrne, boys\u2019 freshman basketball coach; Randy Carey, girls\u2019 seventh-grade basketball coach; Brian Flory, assistant baseball coach; Nikki Staten, softball coach; Morgan Williams, assistant softball coach; John Staten, junior high softball coach; Kylie Snyder, seventh grade volleyball coach; Curt Miller, girls\u2019 track coach; Steve Pardon, assistant wrestling coach; Greg Hinegardner, junior high wrestling coach.<\/p>\n

Supplemental contracts approved include the following: Eric Fishpaw, assistant athletic director and head baseball coach; Brett Hammons, boys\u2019 head basketball coach; Dan Williamson, girls\u2019 head basketball coach; Jonathan Crusie, girls\u2019 junior varsity basketball coach; Matt Langdon, head cross country and head track coach; Anna Baker, high school instrumental; Kristy Ringwald, yearbook; Gregory Byrum, high school Science Club advisor; Christine Doner, Spanish Club advisor; Jay Hoersten, Industrial Tech; Krista Seibert, FFA advisor; Deborah Stetler, Scholastic Bowl advisor; Rachel Rohrs and Ashley Miller, co-Spirit Squad advisors; Krista Seibert, Young Farmers advisor; Adam Owens, Malinda Shellabarger, Kevin Losh, and Stacie Korte, Saturday School teachers; and Valori Dunn, Marsh summer school teacher.<\/p>\n

Personal service contracts were also awarded, as follows: Larry Clark, boys\u2019 basketball varsity assistant; Andy Breese, boys\u2019 JV basketball; Zach Profit, boys\u2019 eighth grade basketball coach; Allen Arnold, girls\u2019 assistant basketball coach; Randy Carey, girls\u2019 eighth grade basketball coach; Jeremy Ebel, girls\u2019 seventh grade basketball coach; JaNahn Evans, head volleyball coach; Tracy Keber, assistant volleyball coach; Ryanne Bollenbacher, seventh grade volleyball coach; Morgan Hicks, eighth grade volleyball coach; Ben Cowan, boys\u2019 track assistant; Alison Hammons, junior high track coach; Daryl Dowdy, head golf coach, Trina Langdon, girls\u2019 cross country coach; Ben Cowan, junior high cross country coach; Danielle Profit, high school cheerleader advisor; Camile Myers, junior high cheerleader advisor; Anson Moody, varsity boys\u2019 soccer coach; Tyson Thatcher, varsity girls\u2019 soccer coach; and Dianna Ashbaugh, public relations coordinator.<\/p>\n

In other action, the board:<\/p>\n

Authorized several overnight and special athletic camps for this summer.<\/p>\n

Authorized a five-year depository agreement with First Financial Bank, N.A.<\/p>\n

Accepted, with thanks, a $100 donation from Beta Delta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority in Van Wert to benefit the Lincolnview Drama Department.<\/p>\n

Approved a summer school contract with The Marsh Foundation.<\/p>\n

Approved a transfer of $1,400 from the General Fund to Fund 200-9430.<\/p>\n
