{"id":76826,"date":"2016-06-01T21:20:25","date_gmt":"2016-06-02T02:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=76826"},"modified":"2016-06-01T21:20:25","modified_gmt":"2016-06-02T02:20:25","slug":"destiny-rayne-kennedy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2016\/06\/01\/destiny-rayne-kennedy\/","title":{"rendered":"Destiny Rayne Kennedy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Destiny Rayne Kennedy passed away in the arms of her mother at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center after a 20-month battle with DIPG.<\/p>\n<p>She was born November 2, 2010, in Van Wert, the daughter of Stacie Stahl of Van Wert and Jeffrey Kennedy of Haviland.<\/p>\n<p>Other survivors include two brothers, Braxton Stahl at home and Jaycee Kennedy of Van Wert; grandparents Brian L. and Sandy Stahl of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Deb Kennedy; great-grandparents Kenneth and Joan Stahl and Peg Schwartz; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Kingsley United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County, with Pastor Gary Ginter officiating.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Visitation is from 9 a.m.-noon at the church.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: Michael Mosier Defeat DPIG Foundation or Alex\u2019s Lemonade Stand Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Condolences may be expressed at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cowanfuneralhome.com\">www.cowanfuneralhome.com<\/a>. a<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Destiny Rayne Kennedy passed away in the arms of her mother at 10:28 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center after a 20-month battle with DIPG.
