On April 29, 2000, he married Roberta K. \u201cBirdie\u201d Houser Long, who survives in Rockford.<\/p>\n<p>Other survivors include three children, Jeff Long, Penny (Tom) Stover and Teresa (Mike) Heiser, all of Rockford; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edwin (Karen) Long of Rockford.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Marvin Schwartz officiating.
